The shapes are die-cut and can come out of the mat. This play mat performs best on hard surfaces like hardwood, tile, or concrete.

My daughter didn't open the box of soft tlies until Christmas. Once they put it together my 10 month old grandson crawl and play on it. This is great. They have hardwood floors which makes it difficult for him to get up on his knees. This will be awesome for a play/development area in his bedroom. So happy I purchased this.

While I liked the design of the soft tiles one of the tiles had a large scratch on it when it arrived. Couldn’t have been a damage from the shipment as it was well packaged this means the product was already damaged at your warehouse .
